Crowdfunding, i.e. the funding of innovative projects or ventures by raising monetary contributions from a large number of people is still considered a new concept in Greece.

Now, a new platform called ‘WinnersFund’ aspires to offer this tool to Greek entrepreneurs who don’t have access to more traditional forms of funding, thus allowing them to realize their innovative and export-oriented business ideas.

The platform has announced that it will become fully operational within the first half of February, giving private investors an opportunity to invest in original and interesting ventures.

According to the platform’s official site, their team includes investment managers, financial analysts, stock brokers, marketeers, engineers, lawyers, auditors, academics, computer scientists and some of the most prominent investors in Europe.
