Greek intl footballers involved in fatal car accident in Hungary

Their taxi collided with another car

Three Greek international footballers were involved in a fatal car accident on their way back home from the Hungarian capital of Budapest on Sunday evening.

After an exciting scoreless tie with Hungary in Euro 2016 qualification hours earlier, Vangelos Moras, Panagiotis Tachtsidis and Giannis Fetfatzidis took a taxi to get to the airport.

However, the three footballers were not able to make their flight back to Italy and their respective clubs as the taxi that was taking them to the airport collided with another car.

According to reports, the three Greek players walked away unscathed for the accident that left a man – the driver of the other car – dead. They were transported to the local hospital as a precautionary measure only to be released later.
