Greek soprano D. Theodossiou sings as soon as ordeal is over

There’s no rest for the soprano and not even the ferry disaster could hold her back from song!

No sooner did Greek soprano Dimitra Theodossiou survive the dramatic Norman Atlantic ferry disaster, that she was back at rehearsals for her January 1 debut in Giuseppe Verdi’s “Nabucco” at Rimini in Italy.

The soprano, who performs the role of Abigail, said that there was no fire alarm on board the ship, the crew provided no instructions to frantic passengers and the passengers had to push and shove to get onto the helicopter baskets.

By Tuesday, while other rescued passengers were still suffering from the ordeal and stranded in various locations, Ms. Theodossiou was back at work.  The show must go on.

Or, as they say in showbiz, the show isn’t over until the fat lady sings…
