How will the 24 Independent MPs react on Presidential election day?

The scenery remains cloudy

The announcement of the name of Mr. Stavros Dimas does not act as a catalyst to manifest neither positive or negative intentions.

The facts remain the same as they had formed immediately after the completion of the discussion of the state budget.

This is also indicated by the first statements made by some MPs.

Already, Mr. Panagiotis Melas confirmed his intention to vote for President while he added his positive view of the election of Mr. Dimas.

Mr. Giorgos Davris appeared indifferent of Mr. Dimas.

At the same time, Mr. Mimis Androulakis and Mr. Giorgos Kasapidis seem to intend to vote against.

DIMAR MP Niki Fouda confirms to protothema.gr her refusal to vote against the President in compliance with the “line” of the party.

In any case according to the so far information the 24 independent MPs will act as below.

Mr. Odysseus Voudouris, Ms Chryssoula Yatagana, Mr. Theodoros Parastatidis, Ms Rachil Makri, Ms Theodora Tzakri and Mr. Mimis Androulakis seem to be a “No”.

A “possible no” for Mr. Petros Tatsopoulos, Mr. Giorgos Kasapidis and Mr. Markos Bolaris.

On the other hand, Mr. Managiotis Makris, Ms Katerina Markou, Mr. Vasilis Ikonomou, Mr. Srypos Likoudis, Mr. Grigoris Psarianos and Mr. Christos Aidonis seem to be a “Yes”.

A “possible yes” for Mr. Vasilis Kapernaros, Mr. Giorgos Davris, Mr. Kostas Yiovanopoulos, Mr. Yiannis Kourakos and Mr. Chrisovalantis Alexopoulos.

Finally, the position of Ms Mika Iatridi, Ms Pari Moutsina, Mr. Byron Poludoras and Mr. Stathis Boukouras still remains unknown.
