Incident on Paris-Athens flight: The moment a passenger with a Quran in hand screams & threatens everyone (video)

The passenger from the beginning showed strange behavior, chanting, shouting & spitting on the passengers – The professionalism of the crew saved the day

A serious incident took place on Wednesday night on an Aegean flight from Paris to Athens.

One of the passengers was behaving strangely from the beginning, as he was chanting and shouting while entering the plane.

As told to protothema.gr by a passenger of Aegean flight A3613, which departed from the “Charles de Gaulle” airport of the French capital and landed around 22:30 at “El. Venizelos” in Athens, about ten minutes after the plane took off, one of the passengers started shouting reciting verses from the Quran.

For security reasons, the crew did not serve food to prevent the man from using the cutlery. At the same time, the passengers who were sitting near him were transferred to the first class and to the seats of the flight attendants, since he was hitting their seats. Some of the passengers were even ready to hold him, in case he was dangerously close to the exits.

At one point the passenger, visibly enraged, took out the Quran and began shouting that he was going to blow up the plane and that Allah would punish them all. The pilot and crew and the chief flight attendant, as seen in the video, handled the incident flawlessly and professionally, while the Athens control tower was informed.

The passenger was taken into custody in Athens

When the Airbus A321 aircraft landed – without any delay, according to the schedule – at “Eleftherios Venizelos”, airport in Athens, men of the Hellenic Police, who had been alerted and were at the scene, brought the man in.

According to the testimony, the professionalism of the Aegean crew members was the one that contributed to not creating a panic and that the flight finally went smoothly to its final destination.
