ISIS slams the publication of new Prophet Muhammad cartoon as an “extremely stupid act”

In a statement read on Al-Bayan radio

In a statement read on Al-Bayan radio, the Islamic State (ISIS) characterized on Wednesday the publication of the new Prophet Muhammad cartoon on the cover of the latest edition of Charlie Hebdo magazine as an extremely stupid act.

More specifically, the militant group’s radio said that the publication of the new cartoons is an attempt on behalf of the atheist magazine to exploit the recent attack against its offices for profit, by insulting once again the Prophet.

It should be noted that Charlie Hebdo satirical magazine’s edition featuring the new cover with the teary-eyed Prophet Mohammed holding a placcard stating “Je suis Charlie” with the message that all is forgiven on top was sold out by 8 a.m. in kiosks all over Paris. Huge demand for Charlie Hebdo copies led to the increase of the issue to five million copies.
