Italy closes ports to Russian ships

“From tomorrow, Italian ports will be closed to Russian ships, the ban will also apply to ships that have changed flags after February 24,” RIA Novosti reported.

It is specified that Russian ships currently in Italian ports will be forced to leave the country “on completion of their commercial activities.”

Romania also previously announced a decision to ban Russian-flagged ships from entering Romanian ports from April 17.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said earlier that Russian ships would be banned from entering EU ports.
