Lawmakers set to give vote of confidence to the Greek govt

The plenum will end its debate at midnight, followed by a vote of confidence to the new govt

Lawmakers end their debate on the government policy statements in Greek Parliament on Wednesday with political leader government policy statements.

Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras on Monday said that the priority of his government, elected on September 20, would be to deliver on its bailout promises so that the country can start tapping into international bond markets by 2017.

Following the conclusion of the debate, the plenum will be asked to give a vote of confidence to the Radical Left Coalition (SYRIZA) government.
