Liapis to rent out Mykonos mansion for 12,600 euros/week (pics)

Would anyone care to rent out M. Liapis Mykonos getaway?

Former conservative New Democracy minister Michael Liapis has put up his Mykonos mansion for sale. The same former, arrested at beachside Loutsa in December 2013 for traveling with fake license plates, now lives in Greece and Romania. He returned from Bucharest a few weeks earlier to receive a special Greek National Tourism Organization sign so as to be able to rent out the Mykonos mansion to VIPs traveling to the island.

Liapis meeting with German beauty Stella Ouroumi who co-owns VR CONNEXION is what lead to his decision to rent out his 6-bedroom, 5-bathroom villa near Super Paradise beach with exquisite views of the Aegean, and luxury pool. VR CONNEXION has been operating since January 2015 and offers luxury accomodation to VIP customers. Ouroumi told Liapis that she would not have difficulty renting the property – able to accomodate as many as 14 people – out for 12,600 euros per week, ie. 1,800 euros per night.

The former minister, enthused by the idea of putting his holiday house to good use, decided to let Ouroumi handle the leasing and it is already featured on Airbnb, a community that brings people with accomodation in touch with those willing to lease it. VR CONNEXION agents state that there is already a great deal of interest in the home.

Of special interest is the way in which the sale is being handled. Interested Greeks are urged to pay in cash so as to avoid any problems that may arise due to capital controls.
