A team of 80 Italian chefs managed to break the world record for the longest pizza in the world last Saturday, serving a delicious “Margherita” pizza over… one and a half kilometers long!

The huge pizza was presented in the 2015 Milan Expo and its exact length (1,595 meters) was confirmed by Guinness judge Lorenzo Veltri.

For the pizza’s… “construction” 1500 kilos of tomatos, 1.5 tons of mozzarella and a lot of olive oil were used.

30,000 visitors got to try a piece, while 300 meters were sent to the food bank Banco Alimentare.
