Lumen Prize in Athens

50 of the best works of 2013 will be exhibited at the OCC

The Lumen Prize is the world’s top digital art award and was established in 2011.

It is awarded each year to art-works made usually digital media aiming to highlight this constantly evolving art-form.

This year, Lumen Prize show stop in Athens, where 50 of the best works of 2013 will be exhibited at the Onassis Cultural Center.

Also, the 25 most distinguished works of 2014 will be on display for the first time outside Cardiff, the headquarters of the award.

The works will include Apodemy by the Greek artist Katerina Athanasopoulou, which took first prize in last year’s competition. The work, a three-dimensional digital allegory for Athens, was shown for the first time at the Visual Dialogues in 2012.
