Man escorted off of airplane because of… too much cologne

The man recorded the incident on video

A 27 year old Frenchman born in Algeria was trying to travel to the U.S. with American Airlines when the airplane staff asked him for something unusual.

A stewardess approached the young man and asked him to get off the place because the amount of cologne he had used was too much for both crew and other passengers! The young man showed surprise and reacted negatively to the request of the airplane crew. He was promptly told that the American Airlines plane was U.S. territory and he would have to obey.

The man recorded the incident on video with his cellphone and threatened to sue the airline for discriminating against him, explaining that before entering the aircraft he had visited the Dior shop in Duty Free and had “doused” himself with perfume.

Eventually, police led the 27 year-old out of the aircraft. However, a spokesman for the company who was asked to comment on the incident mentioned that there was a problem with the passenger’s visa but he could not talk more about personal passenger data.
