Greek movie delves into eternal questions about the meaning of life

Greek director Konstantinos Kakogiannis makes his directorial debut in the film “Maxilari” (Pillow) featured at the Athens International Film Festival and currently being released worldwide thanks to the crowdfunding program offered by Indiegogo.

The script centers around three friends that go camping. On their trip they discuss profound questions concerning their destiny and the meaning of life.The pillows that the men hold are real as well as symbolic of the “pillow” we all use to soften the blow but also suffocate us, causing us to conform.

They are joined by another three female campers who join them in delving into age-old questions. They discuss conformism, culture, politics, violence, the human condition.
