In recent air force exercises held in the Emirates, a Greek female pilot stunned her male colleagues from other countries with her crazy skills.

Greece has admittedly some of the best pilots in the world as they often excel in every kind of multinational exercise they participate in.

But it seems the female Greek pilots are among those standing out, something that became amply clear in the recent ATLC (Advanced Tactical Leadership Course) exercise held in the United Arab Emirates.

Top pilots from countries like the USA, Britain, and Saudi Arabia participated in this exercise, while Australia and India also participated as observers.

Greece participated with three Mirage 2000-5s and their respective support personnel. And among the pilots who were selected to participate in the exercise was a female Lieutenant Commander Theodora Dourou.

The 29-year-old impressed everyone with her skills and performance in the extremely difficult exercises conducted in this top-level exercise.

The Greek pilot stood out among the 250 participants who had multi-day training in various extreme scenarios and highly advanced air combat tactics.

The Lieutenant Commander (I), originally from Malesina Fthiotidas, had a “passion” for aviation from an early age.

In fact, she was determined to fly only the Mirage 2000 that flew over her village before landing in Tanagra.

Theodora Dourou is one of the most competitive pilots with numerous participations in dogfights with Turkish aircraft, having locked the “target” several times in engagements over the Aegean.

She is one of many female pilots in the Hellenic Air Force (HAF), who are proving that excellence in the skies has no gender.
