German tabloid, Bild, reports German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s anger with Greece concerning its arms deals with the United States and Russia. The newspaper expresses Merkel’s rage over the Greek deals with these non-EU countries.

The newspaper reports that these deals are taking place despite the fact that Greece is on the verge of bankruptcy.

On its part, German magazine Focus on Friday reports that Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis has worn out the patience of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and that of German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble. The article is critical of what is viewed as Athens non-compliance with its obligations.

Focus reports that Greek Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis maintains, among other things, that Athens wants to remain in the Eurozone according to his talk at the Brookings Institute while stating in the same breath that Europeans should prove that they aren’t just interested in gagging the “annoying” Greek government.
