Earlier, the Russian BBC news service had reported that at least two perpetrators of the attack on the Crocus City Hall concert venue had been killed.

Citing a source familiar with the investigation operation, one attacker was killed in the concert hall, while the other was killed in the Bryansk region.

Security forces stopped a white car in Bryansk, 210 miles southwest of Moscow, and questioned suspects, Russian media reported earlier.

The BBC reported that one of the dead was a 30-year-old Tajik national who overstayed Russia’s 90-day stay in 2018 and was ordered by a court to make a “controlled exit” from Russia.

The other man was also a citizen of Tajikistan, aged 25, the BBC reporter said, also citing the passports.

At least 133 people were killed and more than 140 injured in one of the deadliest terrorist attacks in recent years in Russia.

Authorities said a total of 11 people were arrested, including the four perpetrators of the attack while heading to Ukraine.
