Mykonos top LGBT tourist spot in Greece

According to official data

Mykonos has achieved the top spot amongst “Gay Friendly” tourism destinations for the first time.

The Cyclades island is a very lucrative destination for LGBT tourists, something which is marked by the tourism kiosk set up this year in Berlin’s tourism expo.

Mykonos will be included in the “Pink Pavilion” where – for the first time ever – LGBT-friendly hotels will be presented.

During the ITB expo every year, a marked increase in gay-friendly tourism has been shown. This kind of tourism mainly presents destinations where LGBT people can feel welcome.

According to estimates, “gay tourism” totals 10% of world tourism, with arrivals towards all destinations reaching 75 million people.
