A new stabbing incident, this time during a live broadcast, occurred in a Sydney area, just 24 hours after the “attack” at the shopping center, which left six citizens dead.
The attack targeted a priest who was preaching at The Good Shepherd Church in the Wakeley area, west of Sydney, on Monday afternoon (local time), when suddenly an unknown person with a knife approached him at the Holy Altar and stabbed him several times.
Immediately, the faithful who were present rushed to stop him, while there are reports of at least four injured. The perpetrator – whose motives are unknown – has been arrested, and according to the initial information from the police, the priest’s injuries are not life-threatening.
