A tale of … two kitchens! Labour's 'Mr. Ed' takes a hit over disputed lifestyle pic

“I think Justine would probably say she wishes I’d spend more time in the kitchen” was Ed’s response

The “plan” of British Labour Party leader Ed Miliband to appear as any other Brit drinking tea with his wife in their residence’s kitchen “backfired” spectacularly, after reports that the kitchen seen in the photograph was actually the smaller of two kitchens in the Milibands’ North London home — valued at 2.3 million pounds!
Many rushed to accuse him of trying to give the “bloke next door” impression.
However, he admitted that his posh residence has two kitchens but denied that he posed in the smaller one convey the more… frugal look.
As he characteristically told the Birmingham Mail: “I think Justine would probably say she wishes I’d spend more time in the kitchen. The house we bought had a kitchen downstairs when we bought it. And it is not the one we use. We use the small one upstairs”.
The latest episode in Miliband’s political career could be called a “Tale of Two Kitchens” or … Upstairs, Downstairs.
