Representatives of the European People’s Party and the European Parliament, as well as representatives of other parties in the Hellenic Parliament, will greet the conference proceedings
The 15th Conference of New Democracy, started today at the Zappeion Megaron and will last until Sunday, April 7th.
This is a Conference with commemorative character, as this year marks the 50th anniversary since the founding of the party.
The opening of the Conference was declared by the President of the ND Organizing Committee, Yiannis Plakiotakis, while around 8 o’clock the Prime Minister and President of the party, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, addressed the delegates.
Representatives of the European People’s Party and the European Parliament, as well as representatives of other parties in the Hellenic Parliament, will greet the conference proceedings.
Before the conclusion of the proceedings, Kyriakos Mitsotakis will address the body of delegates again.
At the Conference, there are booths of foreign Foundations that maintain longstanding cooperation with New Democracy (Konrad-Adenauer, Wilfried Martens, Hanns Seidel), as well as the Institute of Democracy Konstantinos Karamanlis (IDKK).
Additionally, there will be an exhibition of photographic and audiovisual material depicting the course of the Party over its 50 years of history.
