Police cite 4 arrests in major ring supplying illegal migrants with forged travel docs

2 Syrian nationals, 2 Lebanese arrested

Two Syrians and two Lebanese nationals were arrested by police on Friday on charges of running an operation that supplied hundreds of forged passports and residence visas to illegal migrants in Greece.
Police said the alleged members of the ring charged between 500 and 6,000 euros, depending on the type of documents supplied.
Authorities said “services” also included assistance for third country nationals to illegally enter or leave the country, and even … accommodation!
A fifth suspect is wanted in the case.
A vast amount of evidence was reportedly recovered in the apartment used by the suspects as a headquarters.
