Greek police officers’ pay has never been something to brag about, but the method one Athens-area cop devised to “stretch his euros” landed him before a prosecutor and the internal affairs division.

Specifically, the 52-year-old man is accused of systematically stealing power and water by tampering with the meters at his residence.

The suspect, who has not been identified, has been suspended from his duties and now faces a court case.
