Poll: 7 out of 10 believe govt hasn’t abolished ‘troika’

One out of two respondents disagree with the course of negotiations

A new poll shows that 58% of respondents believe that the new SYRIZA government is not keeping its campaign commitments, nor has it really abolished the so-called “troika” representing EC-ECB-IMF creditors.

The poll was commissioned and aired by the television station Vergina TV.

At the same time 39.8% said they would again vote for SYRIZA in case of new elections.

According to the poll results, 50.5% of respondents said they were not happy with government’s course in negotiations so far; 58% are not convinced that SYRIZA is keeping its pre-election commitments, while 73% of respondents answered that the government has not abolished the Troika.

Nonetheless, SYRIZA continues leading in terms of voters’ preferences, at 39.8%, while New Democracy trails far behind at 17%, followed by Golden Dawn with 5.7%, and with PASOK falling to 3.2%.
