A powerful earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale occurred a short while ago off the coast of Kefalonia, 36 kilometres southwest of Lixouri.
The focal depth is located at ten kilometers. The earthquake occurred in the sea area between Zakynthos and Kefalonia, at 10:36 am on Thursday.
The Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Institute recorded the earthquake at 5.4 on the Richter scale.
