The royal couple posed for photographs during their short holiday in the French Alps with their children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte earlier this week.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge invited John Stillwell, the royal photographer for Britain’s Press Association, to take the pictures and said they were “delighted to share” them.

The photos show the young royal family posing and playing in the snow happily.

A Kensington Palace spokesman said: “This was their first holiday as a family of four and the first time either of the children had played in the snow.
