Romania: Bus accident with 47 Greeks – One dead, 23 injured

A road accident with one dead man and 23 injured occurred in Romania with a bus carrying 47 Greeks.

According to Observer Antena 1, the local police spokesman has announced that two people are in a very serious condition, one of them had cardiac arrest.

“All four people who were trapped have been freed, two women and two men. Two of them are in a very serious condition, one in cardiorespiratory arrest”, Daniel Vasile told Digi 24.

According to information, a person from the Greek embassy rushed to the scene.

The announcement of the Romanian Police:

Today, December 23, around 1.30 pm, the Traffic Police was informed of a traffic accident at the entrance of Pasajul Unirii, heading from Bd. Tineretului to the University Square. According to the first reports, the driver of a coach crashed into the Unirii pass gate.

The result was that several people were injured. Investigations are ongoing to ascertain the exact causes and circumstances of the accident.

Traffic is currently restricted in the area of the accident.
