Rowing: Gold and silver medal for Greece in the World League

Huge success for the Greek rowing world championship in Amsterdam, with Lefteris and George Consolas, Spyros Yiannaros and Panagiotis Magdanis conquered the gold medal in the quadruple sculls, while Nicolaidou won the Silver.

On the quadruple sculls Lefteris and George Consolas, Spyros Yiannaros and Panagiotis Magdanis after a sensational fight got the gold medal, while their time of 5: 42.75 is a new world record!

“We did very well. We are happy because we managed to make a world record, “said  Yiannaros to the site of the world federation.

“True” to her appointment of the podium in another big event proved Catherine Nicolaides. She celebrated her 3rd metal of the year, this time to silver, losing the gold to the Belgian, Evelyn Peleman.

“The race was very difficult, I was very slow to start with, but rower with strength and got a medal. I’m pretty happy, “she said.
