Russian tycoon R. Abramovich cruises to Kefalonia

His super-yacht, Titan, captured the attention of holidaymakers on the island

Russian tycoon Roman Abramovich’s luxury yacht, “Titan”,  traveled to Skala at the isle of Kefalonia in the Ionian sea without capturing the attention of the international paparazzi. It’s hard to fathom how the super yacht could go unnoticed at 78 meters long and 2,000 tons. The yacht is equipped with state-of-the art facilities and 12 crew members at the Chelsea FC owner’s beck and call. Undoubtedly that doesn’t include the entourage of other staff to make the yacht a home away from home.

At Kefalonia, holidaymakers couldn’t help but marvel at the beauty of the yacht as Mr. Abramovich’s guests took the opportunity to go jet-skiing. The yacht, constructed in 2010 by famous German Abeking & Rasmussen, was furbished by Pascale Reymond and Andrew Langton.

The interior includes seven luxury suites, a gymnasium, a cinema, a club and a garage with smaller vessels.

The Titan is just one of four luxury yachts owned by the tycoon, including the best yacht in the world – the Eclipse – considered the world’s largest privately owned superyacht at 557 feet in length. It has two swimming pools, two helicopter pads, a disco hall, around 30 cabins, a mini-submarine (for a quick escape), bullet-proof windows and even a missile defense system (just in case…) The safest area is the master suite that is armour-plated with a retractable roof. And just in case the enemy is the paparazzi there’s an anti-paparazzi shield with lazers to block prying lenses.

Over eighty staff members are decked in discreet tan uniforms while on board.
