Samaras and Venizelos agree on university administrators

600 university administrators will be hired again

After the meeting between Prime Minister Antonis Samaras and Government Vice-President Evangelos Venizelos the disagreement between the Minister of Education Andreas Loverdos and the Minister of Administrative Reform Kyriakos Mistotakis ended up.

Samaras and Venizelos decided to immediately proceed with a call of tender and hiring of 600 university administrative employees. During the evaluation process of the staff under labour reserve and the completion of the re-hiring process, none of the employees placed in labour reserve will be fired, as provided by law.

On the occasion of Mr. Loverdos argument, PASOK posed an issue to the government to reconsider the number of redundancies required by the Troika. Generally PASOK wants to make a shift of the government policy towards a more socially oriented policy. Therefore, Mr Venizelos will meet the ministers from PASOK.
