Samaras to hold series of meetings to attract investors

The Prime Minister is moving forward at a feverish pitch

The Prime Minister will be focusing on accelerating the government’s work. After the reshuffle, he wants to lose no time and is already moving at a feverish pace, putting emphasis on attracting foreign investment and further improving the climate for the country and its economy, towards foreign partners.

Tomorrow, Antonis Samaras will be meeting with Deputy Foreign Minister of the Kuwaiti government.

On Monday, he will be welcoming Azerbaijan President Heydar Aliyev who will be visiting our country for two days. A key issue on the meeting’s agenda will be the energy projects, since two major agreements have already been confirmed: the TAP pipeline and DESFA.

On Tuesday, the Prime Minister will be travelling to Portugal where he will be speaking during the Working Group meeting of the EPP. He will meet with his counterpart Pedro Coelho in Lisbon, while the event will be attended by EC President Jose Barroso, candidate for EC President Jean-Claude Juncker, and the Prime Ministers of Hungary and Finland.

On Thursday, Chinese Prime Minister Li Kieqiang will be visiting Athens for three days. Beijing has already made a series of investments in Greece and is keen on new investments in the transport sector. According to reports, the Chinese PM will visit Antonis Samaras in Crete since there is great interest shown in the new airport at Kastelli, Heraklion.
