27-year-old Rumy Alqahtani is the candidate who will make history, as she is the woman chosen by Saudi Arabia to make its debut in the international beauty competition.

She works as a model and a digital content creator.
A few days ago, she was selected to represent her country in the beauty pageant – a moment of significant importance for women in Saudi Arabia.
She announced the news on Instagram, writing: “It is my honor to participate in the Miss Universe 2024 competition. This marks the first participation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the Miss Universe pageant.”
In addition to being Miss Saudi Arabia, Alqahtani holds many other prestigious titles, such as Miss Middle East (Saudi Arabia), Miss Arab World Peace 2021, and Miss Woman (Saudi Arabia).
However, Alqahtani has not exclusively focused on fashion. Her academic career is equally impressive compared to the majority of her compatriots who have not received such education.
She holds a degree in dentistry, speaks English, French, and Arabic, and serves as a source of inspiration for many women worldwide.
Her Instagram profile already has 1 million followers, a number expected to increase significantly after the beauty pageant.
