Schulz: Speculation over Grexit is dangerous nonsense

During the meeting Schulz was briefed on the targets of SYRIZA’s program.

In a meeting held on Wednesday between the President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz and SYRIZA MEP Dimitris Papadimoulis, Mr. Schulz characterized the speculation over Greece exiting the euro zone as “dangerous nonsense.”

More specifically, the President of the European Parliament assured Mr. Papadimoulis that the European Parliament maintains a strictly neutral stance towards the Greek elections, as it is constitutionally obligated to do so, and characterized the speculation over a Grexit  as “dangerous nonsense, harmful for the eurozone.”

According to an announcement released by the SYRIZA MEP, during the meeting Schulz was briefed on the targets of SYRIZA’s program.
