Shock in Achaia! School yard showdown leads to teen murder

The 15-year-old succumbed to his wounds after being shot during an argument

George Alexandropoulos, aged 15, shot by a 16-year-old at the school yard of the 2nd primary school of Lower (Kato) Achaia in the Peloponnese succumbed to his wounds at the University Hospital of Rio despite the blood transfusions and doctors’ efforts. The boy bore gunshot wounds to his chest and abdomen and was treated with emergency surgery but did not survive at the casualty ward.

Police in the area visited the home of the assailant, a short distance away from that of the victim. Investigations are focused on the possibility of a vendetta between the two. The teen murderer will be taken to the prosecutor on Monday facing charges of homicide with intent. The 16-year-old states that he did not want to kill but to scare the deceased who had often taunted him with his friends. The young boy had gone to the school in his father’s car with his father’s gun and a new case is being built against the teenager’s father for inadequate child supervision and improper storage of arms. The man will head to the Prosecutor of Patras along with his son.
