Footage from CCTV of the cold-blooded murder of a 35-year-old owner of a gas station in Athens has emerged. The murder took place on Wednesday night on Petrou Ralli Avenue, in Nicea.
The video shows the victim, of Albanian origin talking to a friend as a vehicle approaches him.
The perpetrator, sitting in the back seat, rolls down the car window and approaches the owner of the gas station. Having covered his face and wearing gloves, the killer leans out of the window, points a gun with a silencer at the man, and shoots him from a very short distance. The startled victim falls to the ground, as his friend tries to take cover after throwing a chair at the car. The killer then shoots the man in the ground again before the car speeds away.
The 35-year-old had reportedly been charged with manslaughter in the past but had pleaded not guilty. He had been involved in drug trafficking cases in the past, and according to sources, the motives of the killers were financial disputes with the victim.
