Stepping stones to new cold war: 40 nuclear ballistic missiles to be added to Putin’s arsenal

With the ability to travel intercontinentally

A few hours after the Kremlin warned the US to not deploy heavy equipment in NATO areas bordering Russia, Russian president Vladimir Putin announced the strengthening of his nuclear arsenal with 40 new, ballistic missiles of intercontinental capability.

 

Even though the Russian Foreign Ministry expressed its hope that the US would not reinforce its positions in Europe, in order to avoid a new military clash, the Russian president announced his intentions on the procurement of said missiles openly.
