Suddeutsche Zeitung mentions cap controls, possible ‘political solution’ in same article!

Says deadline on Thursday, followed by extraordinary Summit, where partners will demand capital controls or… reach political solution

Suddeutsche Zeitung refers to the dreaded “cap controls” scenario in its latest report on crisis-plagued Greece and the SYRIZA government’s frustrated talks with creditors.

The German daily claims that if no agreement is reached by Thursday’s Eurogroup, then a new EU summit will be called on Friday, with partners proposing the financial “draconian measure”.

The “terror scenario”, which however is short on details or sources, claims that if the Tsipras government balks at capital controls on bank accounts, then the country’s banking and financial system will be isolated.

Nevertheless, the same report leaves open the possibility of a “political solution” to be derived at the same, extraordinary, summit (if it’s convened), along the lines of an extension of the current bailout program until November and with a credit line worth 25 to 35 billion euros.  .
