Main opposition Radical Left Coalition (SYRIZA) on Saturday referred to the IMF announcement on the disbursement of the new loan tranche, underlining that “the government and the troika of the country’s creditors agree to continue the austerity policy and destitution of workers,” noting that “the talk on ‘the end of the memorandums’ was just fairy tales serving election campaign purposes by a prime minister who has surrendered to the interests of the lenders”.

SYRIZA noted that “yesterday’s announcement and the statements made by the IMF Deputy Managing Director as regards the disbursement of the loan tranche, demolish the picture the government is trying for months to create”.
