In response to Wolfgang Schäuble’s comments in an interview regarding the success of Greece’s rescue program, main opposition SYRIZA party commented that “Mr. Schäuble’s effort to advertise the “achievements” of the Memorandum is understandable.”

“However, the stance of the Greek Government, that insists on the same austerity recipe, despite the tragic consequences for the society and the economy, is unjustifiable. The Government and Schäuble seem to be doing the same job, each side through its own role,” said SYRIZA in its statement.
