Tension escalates in Idomeni

Mouzalas stated at Parliament that the problem would be solved within 3-4 days and that it wouldn’t be an easy task.

Episodes occurred between the immigrants and Syrian refuges, while a 22-year old Moroccan was electrocuted at Idomeni, northern Greece, on the Greece-Fyrom buffer zone. The man died when he touched high voltage cables.

According to information, police has started removing the immigrants from the area. However, Deputy Minister for Migration Giannis Mouzalas stated at Parliament that the problem would be solved within 3-4 days and that it wouldn’t be an easy task.

The immigrants of other nationalities, who are stuck in Idomeni and not allowed to pass the borders, blocked the road to FYROM preventing anyone to pass through.

After the death of the young Moroccan, the immigrants took the body of the young man and showed it to everyone while shouting slogans.
