The first Tweed Run event was completed with great success at the beautiful island of Spetses. No sooner was it over that the organizers from the Poseidonian Grand Hotel in cooperation with the Hellenic Bicycle Museum began to organize the second tweed run on the island that is ideal for this kind of event bearing in mind that cars are not allowed.
Surpassing all expectations, more than 200 fans of retro bicycle riding put on their Twenties gear and recreated a charaming atmosphere of bygone days on the island. Guests at the event were the core team from London that first created the Tweed Run in 2009.
The November event was also accompanied by a vintage beauty pageant at the luxury hotel’s lobby. Now the organizers are getting into the Spirit of Spring with more vintage fun. And are calling on fans of the event to don their vintage trousers, jackets, jerseys and capes and rush to the island from March 28-29.
