The American tourist who was injured in Easter was discharged from hospital

Healthy and smiling, she thanked Crete and stated she was glad to be going home

The American tourist who was hospitalized in Venizelio Hospital for 23 days after a firecracker explosion in Santorini last Easter was discharged from the hospital today. It should be reminded that when the incident took place, she was moved by air transport hastily to Crete.

The 52 year-old American, upon her discharge from the hospital, thanked doctors and staff.

According to cretapost.gr, she said: “A big thank you to Crete for the warm embrace it has given me, a big thank you to the doctors and hospital staff who helped me get well. I’m happy to be going home. All this, for me, was a nightmare I want to forget. Thank you again, Crete”.
