The Archaeological Museum of Athens hosts twenty five “treasures” of democracy

From the «Palazzo del Quirinale» in Rome now available until October at the National Archaeological Museum

A report ode to democracy and freedom, will begin on the 27th of Augus at the National Archaeological Museum.

The twenty five items of freedom and democracy will be presented in various rooms of the building.

Some of them being the  daughter of the Acropolis the Mourning Athena, signs with Linear B,  a cup with the inscription “I am Nestor’, a headstone of Gela, and a bronze classic portrait of Locri Locri.

Also, the teen called the Zaarmpriken, the tyrannoktonoi,  the Crater of Efroniou and the trunk of Amazon, a bust of Pyrrhus, as well as  later masterpieces of art history, such as the painting of El Greco Saint Peter and of Caravaggio the St. John the Baptist and an image of Our Lady, but also works of Greek artists such as by John Morali and Konastantino Partheni.
