Russian Kristina Pimenova is just nine years old but she has been billed as “the most beautiful girl in the world.” The fact that she’s been prancing across catwalks since the age of four and has been hugely successful with her face gracing the prestigious cover of Vogue Bambini and the likes of Roberto Cavalli, Dolce and Gabbana, Armani and Benetton using her has been cause for admiration but also censure.

Along the legions of fans and over two million Facebook followers are a growing group of people who are concerned that the young girl is being sexualized, especially bearing in mind that there are users making inappropriate comments on her Instagram photos praising her “long legs” and speaking suggestively.

“Creepy pic for a child,” writes one commenter. “You are sextifying your daughter and parents like you are the only reason why girls grow up to have many issues… also there are so many sick ppl out there that look at these in sexual ways.” Others on the other hand drool over her “sexy legs” and call the girl a “babe”.

Her mother Glikeriya Shirokova is also the young girl’s manager and handles media accounts that expose the young girl. There are regular posts of the young girl throughout the day, including bedtime. Her father is 33-year-old retired footballer Russian Pimenov.

The young girl also has a sister studying in England at the age of 15. The sister, Natalia, is not a model and is studying in England.
