The paradise of nudists in Paradisi, Rhodes

Guests from all over the world engoy clothes-free holiday

The view to the blue sea, walking around on the cobbled streets, wonderful tastes of Greek cuisine, the warm sun and amazing beaches summarize the elements of the advertised slogan “Live your myth in Greece” or at least these are among the things that millions of tourists are expecting to experience when visiting Greece.

However, during the recent years a new type of tourism emerges slowly in Greece, as more and more nudists book their holiday in hotels where nudity is not a taboo and guests have to be naked at the premises of the hotel.

Among the hundreds of hotels in Greece, only five of them address to nudists on Kefalonia, Zakynthos, Rhodes, Crete and Kyllini, where nudists can take off their clothes and walk around naked.

Among these hotels, “Naturist Angel” stands out. It is located at Paradisi on the Greek island of Rhodes and accepts only nudists. This hotel opened a year ago and has already become known to those who want to enjoy clothes-free holiday.

The night rates start from 40 euros to 110 euros. It has 64 beds, while one of the characteristic element of the hotel is that there are no single rooms since it addresses exclusively to families and couples. Minors who wish to enter the “Naturist Angel” should be accompanied by first-degree relatives. However, “we accept some some visitors who want to experience nudism for a couple of hours in our external facilities from sunrise to sunset” said Nikiforos Alafouzos, owner of “Naturist Angel”.

“Everything is free. Guests are naked at outdoor areas of the hotel, ie the outdoor restaurant, the pool bar, around the pool. They are covered only with a pareo or a towel when they want to go to their room and they walk through the indoor areas of the hotel. They are dressed only when they arrive at our hotel,” Mr. Alafouzos said.

“There are no limits to freedom. My slogan is that people here experience their own nature. For this reason, guests who have traveled all over the world tell us that their experience here is unique,” Mr. Alafouzos mentioned adding that the first guests came from Turkey and Israel, but this year tourists from other countries have also booked their holiday in the hotel.

Moreover, “Naturist Angel” has become a haven for Greek celebrities, since its rules are very strict. It is not allowed to photograph or take a video of other clients without their express written consent. Indeed, if a customer violates its rules, he will be removed immediately. Also, inappropriate behaviour is prohibited, as well as harassing other customers, expressing sexual interest for others or performing sexual activities in presence of others.
