The West on high alert – Al Qaeda threatens with more attacks

Warnings from western clandestine services

The West is on high alert after the three days of terror experienced by France, in which 17 people lost their lives. Authorities in Europe and the US are on ready status since they fear new Al Qaeda attacks with mass casualties.

The Al Qaeda Yemen branch official assumed responsibility for the Charlie Hebdo attack on Friday.

Without wasting any time, the leader of the Yemeni Al Qaeda signaled that the “struggle” of AQAP against the “blasphemy against the holy symbols of the Muslims” will be continued, threatening France anew.

At the same time, the British Security Service head, Andrew Parker, stated that Syrian members of the terrorist organization are planning big attacks against Western countries, in public transport or “meaningful targets”.

He also warned that the UK might come under attack.

Spies in Europe and the US are concerned about the fact that Pakistani Al Qaeda fighters have travelled to Syria, something which analysts warn, could be part of a big plot to stage a great attack against the West. In Canada, two people were arrested, charged with conspiracy to terrorism, in Montreal, slightly before they left the country.
