Greece’s privatization fund (TAIPED)received three binding offers for the rights to use, operate, manage and exploit 14 regional airports after its tender for bidding closed yesterday. The consortia that submitted offers are Corporation America S.A. (CASA) with METKA, Fraport A>G> with Silentel Ltd and Vinci Airports SAS with AKTOR Concessions.

The 14 regional airports are divided into two groups:

Airports of Thessaloniki, Corfu, Chania, Kefalonia, Zakynthos, Aktion and Kavala

The technical offers now remain to be reviewed and be examined by the project advisors. The consortia that will proceed to the next stage of the tender are to be approved and the contracts will be awarded within November.
