The Time magazine gathered the photos marked the 2015, a year which has been dominated by the migrant and refugee crisis in Europe.

Therefore, many photos of the collection are from war zones of Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan, as well as from Greece, Croatia and Hungary, which received thousands of refugees.

In the U.S., the year was marked by the #BlackLivesMatter movement, while Europe was marked by the terrorist attacks in Paris.

The first one shows a boat full of refugees reaching a Greek coast, in the night of September 7.

The second one shows a refugee who had just reached the coast of Lesvos on September 27.
