Chilling images just a few minutes after the head-on collision of the commercial train with the InterCity 62 train carrying around 350 passengers in the Tempe Valley.
It is only minutes, maybe even seconds, after the horrific collision of the two trains.
The passengers before they fully realize what has happened, find themselves among broken glass & debris that has literally turned the trains into a shapeless mass of metal.
In the mean time, the first carriages of the two trains are engulfed in flames.
Screaming, the passengers call their fellow passengers to move away: “Everybody out, there’s a fire!”.
In the wagons that were on fire for almost two hours, until about half past one in the morning on Wednesday, according to Fire Department officers, the temperature exceeded 1200 degrees Celsius.
Passengers escaping from carriages through holes or broken windows called for their fellow passengers to leave.
To make sure that everyone who is able to leave has left the carriages, the passengers call out over and over: “Is anyone on the train?”.
