Traveling with Greek gastronomy

The Attica Regional Authority wants to take advantage of the delights of Greek gastronomy in drawing tourism

Dietician Anastasios Papalazarou introduced guests to a wide range of local produce and gave information about the Mediterranean diet as part of an Attica Fam Trip for the European media. The reason for the focus on Greek gastronomy was due to findings of regular surveys at the Athens International Airway that show that Greek gastronomy is the second determining factor for visitors deciding to come to the country, following Ancient Greek Civilization and history.

German, French and Italian journalists representing RA12, Focus, Dove and Cuisine Actuelle participated in the trip, part of the Attica regional authority’s ongoing program aimed at promoting Athens as an ideal all-year-round city break destinations.
