Troika’s new inspection also comes in… installments

Delegations of certified accountants soon to visit public accounting department regarding the new budget policy – Next inspection on “tougher issues” to take place in one month

The new assessment by Troika begins with positive omens for the government, as indicated by the teleconference between the Minister of Finance and the chief auditors, while the ” tougher issues ” will have to wait for at least a month since the representatives of the lenders agreed not to open all fronts at once in the new deal.

As protothema.gr revealed yesterday, Troika’s new inspection will come in… installments.

Troika will initially come to Greece to end the issue of training of the new budget for 2015, which will be submitted in Parliament on the 6th of October. The technical team has already settled  at the General Accounting Office. As was already planned the head of Troika will come to Athens for the first meeting with Mr. Gikas Hardouvelis on the 30th of September. The negotiation will continue for one week until the draft is submitted in Parliament and afterwards everyone will depart for  IMF’s annual meeting in Washington which will take place between the 10-12 of October.

After the  “break” and also after the Eurogroup and Ecofin on the 13-14 of October, once again, everyone is to return to Athens to start the second and most crucial stage of discussions on Structural measures, the about 300 prerequisites which will have to close by the end of 2014, the stress-test of the banks which will be announced in the last ten days of October, the settings for the  “red loans”,  labor issues and the opening of closed professions.

That way, the government seems to achieving for the time being, not to have any frictions with the lenders, as well as closing one by one pending issues.

However, the issues of great importance concerning the daily lives of the citizens, will be judged and evaluated after a week’s “break”.
